Getting in the Christmas Spirit!

This is my first official blog ever! :) Currently I reside in the great state of Alaska where I support my husband who is a member of the United States Army. I am blessed to be able to witness the beauty of Alaska. Today the current temperature here is -29 degrees. It was a great day to stay inside and catch up on some baking. I baked Banana Bread and made an Angel Food Cream Cheese Cherry Jubilee dessert that not only looks beautiful but it is easy and always a great hit at parties and gatherings! Angel Food Cream Cheese Cherry Jubilee

1 Angel Food Cake
2 - 8 ounce packages of cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1-16 ounce cool whip
2 cans cherry pie filling

Mix the cream cheese, sugar and milk in a mixing bowl. Add cool whip and mix thoroughly. Layer the bottom of a clear glass bowl with pieces of angel food cake, next the cream cheese mixture, then the cherry pie filling. Repeat and finish up with cherries on top! Refrigerate then serve. Enjoy!!
